No other show presents such a magnificent combination of the very best in classical music and state of the art technology. Ranging from a flood of pure white light to electrifying multi-coloured laser displays, the dazzling special effects bring to life the scenes and moods evoked by each glorious piece changing the way you experience classical music forever.
RG Jones relationship with The Royal Albert Hall spans back many decades. It is a huge honour to remain the chosen supplier for many of the high profile events including Raymond Gubbay's Classical Spectacular.
From the very best classical music and state of the art technology to electrifying multi-coloured laser displays and thundering finale to the music of the 1812 Overture – the March 2017 season is bigger and more thrilling than ever.
RG Jones FOH engineer Phil Wright took the driving seat at FOH and navigated the Digico SD7 through the colourful array of classical pieces. The perfect recipe - The Royal Albert’s enchanted Hall, the Royal Philharmonics’ gifted musicians playing through DPA microphones and delivered to the audience through a Martin Audio loudspeaker system. A mixture of MLA and Compact. Fold in the very talented Phil Wright, a mind-blowing lighting design all backed by classical music promoters Raymond Gubbay. and we have a creative masterpiece.
"The RG Jones Martin Audio MLA solution is my go to system for this kind of work." explains Phil "As the first company to invest in the system in the UK, they have had plenty of opportunities to try the system out on many different applications. Having a system which is so linear and transparent while offering the “hard avoid” functionality of the array control is essential when dealing with orchestral reinforcement. The system coverage is so smooth and the levels on stage are so low compared to other systems out there, it’s a win-win situation for everybody. Add to that a Digico SD7 running all of my favourite Waves plug-ins and an array of DPA microphones on the stage – what more can a FOH engineer need!"
RG Jones Communications Director Sarah Gellas attended Friday’s performance “I’ve been lucky enough to see this show many times now and it really does just get better. The atmosphere within the hall is almost indescribable and it’s wonderful to see how the audience reacts. It is a truly touching show, definitely a classic and we’re very grateful to be a part of it. Our thanks to Anthony, Steve and Daria for having faith in us to deliver and our extraordinary crew for their consistently high standards”.
RG Jones is one of the few companies I trust to do the sound in the The Royal Albert Hall
