Running for QEST at Royal Parks Half Marathon

RG Jones team completed the Royal Parks Half Marathon on the 13th October 2019 raising money for the Queen Elizabeth Scholarship Trust.  Now a major annual fundraising event, this race supports London’s eight Royal Parks and enables charities of all sizes to raise significant amounts for the event.  In the last decade, runners from around the world have raised £41million for nearly 1,000 UK charities.

QEST funds the training and education of talented and aspiring craftspeople, helping to sustain Britain’s cultural heritage by supporting excellence in British Craftsmanship.

Over the past 29 years, QEST has awarded £4.3 million to just over 500 craftspeople of all ages and backgrounds, in at least 130 skills sectors, enabling them to undertake training through traditional college courses, vocational training, apprenticeships, or one to one training with a master maker. Almost 90% of QEST Alumni are still working in their craft today many acknowledged leaders in their field and passing on their skills to the next generation
